Need help getting a property deposit to us? We strive to make things as easy as possible.
Congratulations, you have an accepted offer on a property. There are various methods to have your deposit sent to our Trust account. The agent working with you will provide you with our banking details so you can do a wire transfer, a direct deposit, or an email transfer. Alternatively, you may mail or priority post a check or money order to our office. To address your check: Please make check payable to Cape Breton Realty In Trust. To complete a wire transfer, ask your agent for our account details and he or she will provide you with the details you need. To email transfer, you must have online banking and transfers can only be sent from a Canadian bank account. The process will vary according to your bank. Generally, you can only etransfer 2000-3000 dollars per day. If your deposit is more, you may need to complete more than one transfer. Be sure to give the security answer to your agent or send an email to propertydeposits@capebretonrealty.com indicating that you have sent your deposit and giving the security answer. To mail a check, please address to: Cape Breton Realty PO Box 59 St.Peter’s NS B0E3B0. Ordinarily, you could drop your deposit into one of our offices, however this is not possible at this time due to covid-19 restrictions. In Port Hawkesbury, our office is around the corner from the Maritime Inn and Ultramar at 305 Reynold’s Street. In St.Peter’s, our office is at 9978 Grenville Street in the same building as the Great Canadian Dollar Store and Home Hardware, the building next to Tim Horton’s.
